Following the recent rumors  circulating  Samuel Eto’o Cameroonian football Legend is set to stand against president Paul Biya in the 2018 upcoming elections in Cameroon.

Afric pulse reports that Samuel Eto’o made the declaration on the time line of George Weah  the newly elected president of Liberia.The same news site quotes Malitribune as saying that Samuel Eto’o had disclosed during a recent media outing that he had always had interest and wanted to do politics but was waiting for the right time.Cameroon is yet to organize general elections this 2018 and President Paul Biya is seeking re-election after being in office for more than three decades.

No independent declaration from Eto’o yet.Samuel Eto’o is one of the best player in the history of African football.He has won the African Best Player of the year award four times.He is the top scorer in the  history of football in Cameroon. He also was the captain of the indomitable lions of Cameroon for a few years but his leadership was faced with a lot of turbulence which partly contributed to his resignation in the year 2014.He led his country to the 2014 FiFFA world cup in Brazil which they brought home just 1 goal and 3 defeats.
