All university students in Cameroon set to receive a laptop each from Paul Biya

MCMG: Putting Cameroonians on the Map

On July 27th President Paul Biya together with the Minister of Higher Education Jacques Famé Ndongo and a Chinese company Sichuan Telecom Company Engeneering Construction Co. Ltd signed an agreement to provide free laptop computers to every university student in Cameroon. Each student from public or private universities will receive a computer laptop from Biya.

According to news reports, Biya wants to help students secure access to the modern day digital economy. The amount reportedly commissioned for the project has not been disclosed.
