My fellow Cameroonians,
With all the different churches present in Cameroon, a pastor holding one service here, and another there, the real purpose of church as in the bible has been completely destroyed.
I heard a preacher say once, that all Christian churches are okay even if they do not all teach the same things. How can that be? Isn’t the word of God the same thing?
Do you confuse about this?
Have you ever wondered why there are so many different churches in Cameroon?
Does God approve? And does it even really matter? Pastors going about starting their own churches in every block?
If I were to ask you exactly how many different churches exist in Cameroon today… what would you say? You would probably say, “I don’t know…A lot I guess.” And that would be right.
More than ever before, a variety of Pentecostal structures in Cameroon focus on deliverance and exorcism and address issues pertaining to witchcraft.
Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” According to this verse, the purposes/activities of the church should be 1) teaching biblical doctrine, 2) providing a place of fellowship for believers, 3) observing the Lord’s Supper, and 4) praying. NOT LOOKING FOR MIRACLES.
These are very appealing to the “Market” since many people have now interpreting every single bad situation to witchcraft. In as much as I do not deny the existence of it, I don’t believe that every bad situation has something to do with witchcraft. I would say it ignorance. If Cameroonians do not get knowledge of what’s right and wrong by themselves, or do wrong things and expect life to be good, they will continue to be misled. I mean, come on….. The bible is in English. You can read it for yourself.
The Cameroonians who run after miracles from one church to another are, people who do not want to get knowledge, people who are lazy, people who refuse to work hard, people who are not health conscious, people full of negativity, but yet expect prosperity and good health. But when results turn out otherwise, the start associating it to witchcraft, accusing others and then become church prostitutes.
Come on Cameroonians, there’s no magic. The bible says man should work. Naturally, God has blessed man. If everything is done in the right way, we will be fine.
Moving from one church to another is never and will never be the solution. GET KNOWLEDGE, DO WHAT IS RIGHT, DON’T DO WHAT IS NOT RIGHT.THAT’S ALL.
With love and peace for my beloved country Cameroon.
